Welcome to World Orphans!
Let’s get the official paperwork out of the way so we can get to the fun stuff. Please review and acknowledge the documents below.
đ Statement of Faith
I BELIEVE the Bible to be the Word of God verbally inspired and wholly without error in all that it declares and therefore is the supreme and final authority for faith and life.
I BELIEVE in the one true triune GodâFather, Son and Holy Spirit.
I BELIEVE in the virgin birth and the deity of Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, who is also the Son of Man.
I BELIEVE that the death of Jesus Christ on the cross made atonement for the sins of the world, effective for all who repent and believe.
I BELIEVE in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, which insures the resurrection of all believers who have received God’s gift of eternal life.
I BELIEVE that Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to earth for the second time to establish His kingdom.
I BELIEVE that man was originally created in the image of God, that he fell into sin through the first Adam, and that he is responsible for all sin that causes him to be separated from God and lost eternally.
I BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit indwells all who receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
I BELIEVE that all Christians are called to good works and are in the world, but are separate from it.
I BELIEVE that Christians are called to witness for Christ and to preach the gospel to all nations.

I recognize that the conditions in some of the places to which I will travel are not the same standard as the conditions to which I am accustomed (i.e., political, environment, and judicial systems). Without limiting the release above, I acknowledge that I understand that World Orphans makes arrangements with airlines, hotels, and other independent parties to provide me with the services connected with the campaign. Therefore, the parties agree that any claim or dispute arising from or related to this RELEASE shall be settled by biblically based mediation and, if necessary, legally binding arbitration in accordance with the Rules of Procedure for Christian Conciliation of the Institute for Christian Conciliation. All such mediation and arbitration shall take place in Castle Rock, Colorado. Judgment upon an arbitration award may be entered in any court otherwise having jurisdiction. The parties understand that these methods shall be the sole remedy for any controversy or claim arising out of this RELEASE and expressly waive their right to file a lawsuit in any civil court against one another for such disputes, except to enforce an arbitration decision.

I, as an employee/board member/volunteer/intern of World Orphans, do hereby authorize any necessary examination, anesthetic, dental, medical, or surgical diagnosis or treatment by any duly licensed physician or dentist and hospital service that may be rendered to me under the guardian, specific, or special consent of the temporary custodian of me; whether such diagnosis or treatment is rendered at the office of the physician or dentist, or at a licensed hospital. đ€« Confidentiality Agreement
World Orphans (the âOrganizationâ), and the âIndividualâ agree to enter into this Confidentiality Agreement as follows:
1. Employment
The Organization employs the Individual (or is in relationship with a board member, volunteer or intern), and the Individual is employed by the Organization upon the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement.
2. Term of Employment
Neither this Agreement nor the language used herein is intended to create or constitute an employment agreement. The Individual is employed at-will and both the Organization and the Individual have the right to terminate employment with the Organization at any time for any reason or no reason at all, with or without notice.
3. Confidentiality
The Individual and the Organization mutually recognize that the Individual will be in a position to obtain confidential information, client and donor lists, and will develop relationships with specific clients and donors. The Individual and the Organization further recognize that the Individual will, by virtue of working at the Organization, continually have access to that information. Further, as an employee/board member/volunteer/intern of the Organization, the Individual and the Organization recognize the Individual will acquire knowledge relating to the Organizationâs business interest in the knowledge, proprietary and confidential information, including client and donor lists that the Individual acquires from the Organization, and that as such these legitimate business interests are to be protected.
- a. The Individual covenants and agrees that at all times during the Individual period of employment/commitment with the Organization, and for a period of three (3) years after the date of termination of the Individual employment/commitment, to maintain the confidentiality required of the Individualâs position;
- b. The Individual will not divulge, or use for any personal reasons or in conjunction with any other employment or ministry involvement, any client list, donor list, contribution list, or any relationships, names, addresses, or any information contained therein, or any other proprietary information gained or taken from the Organization;
- c. The Individual will not divulge any financial or corporate information regarding the Organization or any of its clients or donors;
- d. The Individual covenants and agrees that The Individual shall not engage in the making or publishing of written or oral statements or remarks that are defamatory.
- e. The Individual acknowledges that the term âtermination of employmentâ means any separation from employment from the Organization, either voluntary or involuntary, whether the separation is at the behest of the Individual or the Organization, regardless of the reason for separation.
- f. The Individual recognizes that any breach of this Agreement will cause the Organization irreparable harm. The Individual recognizes that the Organizationâs remedies at law may be inadequate and that the Organization shall have the right to seek injunctive relief in addition to any other remedy available to it. Therefore, if the Individual breaches this Agreement or any of the covenants contained herein, the Organization has the right to, and will seek, issuance of a court-ordered injunction, as well as any and all other remedies and damages, to compel the enforcement of the terms stated herein. The Individual expressly agrees that the Organization shall be entitled to injunctive and/or other equitable relief in court to prevent further breach of this Agreement. If court action is necessary to enforce this Agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled to reasonable attorneysâ fees and court costs.
- g. If any part of this Agreement is held unenforceable or invalid, the remaining parts thereof shall continue to be enforceable. If the provisions imposing time restrictions are deemed unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, then such provisions for the purposes of this Agreement shall include the maximum time period which a court of competent jurisdiction determines to be reasonable, valid, and enforceable.
4. Termination of Employment and Forfeiture of Compensation
The Individual agrees that any breach by the Individual of any of the covenants set forth in Section 3 hereof during the Individual employment/commitment by the Organization, shall be grounds for immediate dismissal of the Individual and shall subject the Individual to a civil action for money damages, which shall be in addition to and not exclusively of any and all other rights and remedies the Organization may have against the Individual. If court action results from any breach of this Agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled to reasonable attorneysâ fees and court costs.
5. Consideration and Condition of Employment
The Individual acknowledges that signing this Agreement is a condition of employment/commitment and that employment/commitment or continued employment/commitment is sufficient consideration for signing this Agreement and compliance with the promises made herein. Failure to execute this Agreement is grounds for immediate termination.
6. Entire Agreement-Amendment
This Agreement shall supersede any and all existing oral or written agreement, Representations, or warranties between The Individual and the Organization relating to the terms of the Individualâs employment by the Organization. It may not be amended except by a written agreement by both parties.
7. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with laws applicable to agreements made and to be performed in any given state, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
âïž Conflict of Interest Policy
Conflict of Interest Policy Statement
All trustees, officers, agents, and employees of World Orphans shall disclose all real or apparent conflict of interest that they discover or that have been brought to their attention in connection with this organizationâs activities.
A âconflict of interestâ occurs where a person is responsible for promoting the interest of the ministry at the same time he or she is involved in a competing personal interest (financial, business or personal).
âDisclosureâ shall mean providing properly, to the appropriate person, a written description of the facts comprising the real or apparent conflict of interest. An annual disclosure statement shall be circulated to trustees, officers, and certain identified agents and employees to assist them in considering such disclosures, but disclosure is appropriate and requited whenever conflicts of interest may occur. The written notices of disclosures shall be filed with the Chief Executive Officer or such other person designated by the Chief Executive Officer to receive such notifications. At the meeting of the top governing body, all disclosures of real or apparent conflict of interest shall be noted for the record in the minutes.
An individual trustee, officer, agent, or employee who believes that he or she or an immediate member of his or her family might have a real or apparent conflict of interest, in addition to filing a notice of disclosure, must abstain from:
- (1) participating in discussions or deliberations with respect to the subject of the conflict (other than to present factual information or to answer questions),
- (2) using his or her personal influence to affect deliberations,
- (3) making motions,
- (4) voting,
- (5) executing agreements, or
- (6) taking similar actions on behalf of the organizations where the conflict of interest might pertain by law, agreement, or otherwise.
At the discretion of the top governing body or a committee thereof, a person with a real or apparent conflict of interest may be excused from all or nay portion of discussion or deliberations with respect to the subject of the conflict.
A member of the top governing body or a committee thereof, who, having disclosed a conflict of interest, nevertheless shall be counted in determining the existence of a quorum at any meeting in which the subject of the conflict is discussed. The minutes of the meeting shall reflect the individualâs disclosure, the vote thereon, and the individualâs abstention from participation and voting.
The Chief Executive Officer shall ensure that all trustees, officers, agents, employees, and independent contractors of the organization are made aware of the organizationâs policy with respect to conflicts of interest.
Conflict of Interest Disclosure Certification
I have read and understand the Conflict of Interest Policy. I agree to promptly inform the board upon the occurrence of each event that could potentially result in my involvement in (or implication in) a conflict of interest.
